Estimator/Project Manager 6337 Bluff Rd, Washington, MO 63090 From $26 an hour - Full-time From $26 an hour - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our team and drive successful project execution from initial bidding to completion. This role combines the strategic aspects of construction estimating with the leadership of project management, ensuring projects are accurately priced, efficiently managed, and delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong negotiation skills, and have a deep understanding of metal fabrication processes, contracts, and cost control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse projects, collaborate with clients and subcontractors, and contribute to the growth of a reputable custom fabrication and manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Prepare detailed construction estimates using a software called Fulcrum, ensuring accuracy in pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Lead negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships. Develop comprehensive project budgets and schedules that align with client expectations and company standards. Oversee all aspects of project management including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to ensure timely project delivery. Monitor project costs continuously to maintain strict cost control measures; identify potential overruns early and implement corrective actions. Review and manage construction contracts, change orders, and scope adjustments to protect company interests. Qualifications Having prior knowledge of metal fabricating is necessary to accurately quote parts and projects. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing while fostering positive relationships. Solid understanding of construction estimating principles, cost control techniques, and pricing strategies. Familiarity with contracts, project management methodologies, and risk assessment procedures. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Effective communication skills for liaising between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
