Lead Estimator/Management Position Summary:
WyoDak Energy Services is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil, underground utility, and site development projects. This role is critical in supporting the company's growth by helping secure profitable work through thorough analysis of plans, specifications, labor, materials, and equipment.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
- Quantify and price all components of civil and utility construction, including earthwork, piping, storm drainage, water systems, sewer systems, grading, and roadwork.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and current pricing.
- Visit project sites when needed to assess conditions and better inform estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure estimates are realistic and executable.
- Prepare bid packages and attend pre-bid and job meetings as needed.
- Track and maintain historical cost data to support future estimating efforts.
- Review and analyze job cost reports to improve accuracy in future bids.
- Maintain documentation and records of all estimates and bids submitted.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of civil site work and underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drain, etc.).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Familiarity with estimating software (such as HCSS HeavyBid, Primavera P6, Procore, and Microsoft Projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field experience.
- Experience with local, state, and federal bidding processes and regulations.
- Knowledge of local codes and permitting processes.
