In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating plumbing costs for a variety of commercial and industrial projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Your expertise will drive project profitability by developing precise bids, managing cost control measures, and collaborating effectively with project teams and clients. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive plumbing estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing, scope, and contract terms that align with project budgets and objectives. Develop detailed cost proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes while ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Analyze construction site conditions and project requirements to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Manage bid submissions efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met with complete and accurate documentation. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to support effective cost control and budget adherence. Stay updated on industry trends, material prices, labor rates, and new technologies to refine estimating strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong focus on plumbing systems within commercial or industrial projects. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable. Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors. Strong knowledge of plumbing materials, installation methods, and site conditions gained through construction site experience. Ability to analyze project plans, specifications, and technical drawings critically. Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting detailed estimates clearly.
