Job Description
The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for overseeing construction projects from pre-construction through completion, while also preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating & Pre-Construction:
Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors Analyze project risks, labor, equipment, and material costs Prepare and submit bid proposals and assist with contract negotiations Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliersProject Management:
Manage multiple projects from award through closeout Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment Monitor job progress, costs, and productivity to ensure profitability Ensure compliance with safety regulations, contract requirements, and quality standards Conduct site visits and attend project meetings as neededFinancial & Administrative:
Track project costs and prepare job cost reports Review and approve invoices, change orders, and pay applications Identify and manage scope changes and cost impacts Assist with billing, forecasting, and project documentationQualifications:
3+ years of experience in construction estimating and/or project management Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in site work, grading, utilities, or heavy civil construction Knowledge of project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) Experience with Foundation accounting software Proficiency in AGTEK (material takeoff) software Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)What We Offer:
