This role is for a detail-driven, analytical Commercial Estimator who understands that estimating is not just about pricing work—it's about setting projects up for success.The right person:
Thinks critically about scope, risk, and constructability Takes ownership of estimates from initial opportunity through final handoff Communicates clearly with operations, leadership, and clients Balances speed with accuracy in a fast-moving environment You should be confident working within Buildertrend or other Construction Management Software for estimating, proposals, and project setup and interested in helping improve how it's used across the company. (KEYRESPONSIBILITIES
) Estimating & Preconstruction Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural repair, reinforcement, and specialty construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, site reports, and customer requests to fully understand project scope. Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, steel, labor, equipment, and specialty materials. Including epoxies, polyurea, carbon fiber and other coatings Develop pricing based on labor productivity, historical data, and current market conditions. Identify constructability challenges, risks, and scope gaps early in the process. Clearly define inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and clarifications in all estimates. Proposal Management Build and maintain estimates, proposals, and budgets within Buildertrend. Ensure estimates align with Buildertrend project budgets used by operations and project management. Support clean project setup in Buildertrend for awarded work, including scope, budget structure, and documentation. Maintain organized estimating records and proposal histories within Buildertrend. Collaboration & Handoff Work closely with operations and project management to ensure a clean transition from estimate to execution. Participate in internal handoff meetings to explain scope, pricing logic, and identified risks. Support change order pricing and scope revisions as projects evolve. Data, Accuracy & Continuous Improvement Maintain organized estimating files, takeoffs, and supporting documentation. Track estimate performance versus actual project costs to improve future accuracy. Contribute to the development and refinement of estimating systems, templates, and assemblies. Stay informed on material pricing, labor trends, and industry cost drivers.HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED
Within your first 90 days, success looks like: Producing accurate, well-documented estimates with minimal rework. Demonstrating a clear understanding of Green Future's services, risk profile, and cost structure. Earning trust from operations and leadership through transparency and follow-through. Identifying estimating inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.WHAT YOU BRING
(QUALIFICATIONS) 3+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in structural, concrete, or industrial work. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Working experience with Buildertrend or other Construction Management Software for estimating, proposals, and/or project management. Solid understanding of labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Experience with repair, retrofit, or specialty construction work. Experience estimating industrial or agricultural facilities. Familiarity with construction cost databases or estimating software. Interest in helping shape estimating and preconstruction systems in a growing company.WHAT WE OFFER

Salary range $62,000- 70,000 annually
