Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cost Estimator specializing in building materials to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for projects involving translucent daylighting systems and related construction components. The ideal candidate will play a vital part in project planning by providing detailed pricing, analyzing bids, and supporting project management efforts to ensure cost effective and efficient project execution.
Responsibilities:
Work as an Estimating team member to complete all activities needed to Develop Accurate Quotations for projects per plans and specifications. Responsible for project cost estimating, review of Architectural and Structural drawings and Product Specifications. Customer Service - excellent communication skills to review and discuss issues with customers and develop solutions, cost savings, and advise Technical information. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure neat, accurate and comprehensive estimating documentation is maintained and accessible. Proactively identify and resolve time-sensitive challenges with a positive, collaborative, solutions-focused approach. Motivating team members, and fostering a positive team environment and culture Manage and enhance external and internal Sales relationships and handle escalated customer issues.
Qualifications:
5-10 years of relevant experience; previous manufacturing and/or construction experience preferred. Experience in Cost Estimation of construction materials Experience in Civil engineering (Component and Cladding materials) Experience in interpreting architectural drawings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in using MS Office, Access, Excel. Excellent organizational and time management skills; strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with keen attention to detail.
