DOE Requirements:
BSEE preferred, 10+ years in Electrical Estimating of Electrical Construction projects of Lighting, Med Volt Substations, Hospitals, power distribution, ConEst and/or Accubid Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical engineering and estimating, with a strong understanding of electrical systems within construction projects. This role is essential to ensure accurate project cost assessments and to support successful project delivery in various sectors, including pharmaceutical, hospital, and data center projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates for various projects, including power, lighting, and medium voltage systems. Conduct materials takeoff and cost analysis to ensure accurate budgeting and proposal preparation. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to gather necessary project information. Analyze blueprints and specifications to identify scope and requirements for electrical installations. Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to optimize project costs. Perform risk assessments and value engineering to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Utilize estimating software such as ConEST and Accubid to produce comprehensive estimates. Ensure compliance with NEC codes and industry standards throughout the estimating process. Participate in scheduling and team collaboration meetings to align project timelines and resources. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred, Certification Considered 10+ years of experience in electrical estimating of electrical contruction projects Proficiency in electrical estimating software like ConEST and Accubid. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power, lighting, and medium voltage applications. Experience in pharmaceutical, hospital, and data center projects is preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on cost analysis and budgeting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with risk assessment, value engineering, and contract negotiation. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
