Sheet Metal / HVAC Estimator

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sheet Metal / HVAC Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for sheet metal and HVAC systems, ensuring competitive pricing, and supporting project planning from inception to completion. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet client specifications and project timelines. Duties Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive estimates for sheet metal and HVAC systems using industry-standard software such as Trimble Estimation and Bluebeam. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to understand project scope, technical requirements, and budget constraints. Prepare detailed take-offs, pricing proposals, and bid packages that accurately reflect the scope of work. Utilize negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with suppliers and subcontractors while maintaining quality standards. Conduct site visits to assess construction conditions, verify measurements, and gather data essential for precise estimating. Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle by tracking expenses against estimates and adjusting as necessary to stay within budget. Support contract negotiations, review terms, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on sheet metal or HVAC systems within commercial or industrial projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and project coordination. Proficiency in estimating software such as Trimble Estimation or similar tools; familiarity with Bluebeam for digital plan review is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, pricing strategies, and contract management. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground realities impacting estimates. Understanding of cost control techniques, construction management principles, and project scheduling.
