59,000.00 - 85,000.00 USD / YEAR Share Share Email Post Share For over 25 years, Quick Response Fire Protection has proudly provided the design, installation, maintenance, inspections and repairs of fire protection systems within the tri-state area. Along the way, Quick Response has grown to become the largest provider of fire protection systems in the state of New Jersey, providing fire protection services to all industries and property types. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team in Freehold, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating costs of promotion and sale of fire protection systems and products to developers, contractors, and end users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare estimates and bid proposals based on evaluation of construction documents Perform preliminary survey of existing buildings to determine costs associated with the installation of fire protection services Applying knowledge of NFPA standards to analyze hazards and identify appropriate design approach Reading and comprehending plans and specifications Preparing detailed cost estimates including design, materials, fabrication, equipment, permits, subcontracts, and installation labor for both union and open shop projects Meeting with contractors and subcontractors on site to review site conditions and discuss bid scope when necessary Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Good communication skills both oral and written when working with all levels of management and employees, clients, external vendors and other business associates. Clearly communicates directions and information. Speaks effectively before groups as well as individuals. Must have good interpersonal skills. Cognitive discipline. Microsoft Office Suite, any hydraulic calculation program Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school One-year related experience and/or training
