) in this field. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure accuracy in estimates while maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Duties Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Office to create and manage estimates effectively. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Implement cost control measures to monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle. Provide leadership and mentorship to the estimating team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating processes. Experience Proven experience in glazing estimating, with a strong understanding of glass and glazing principles. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management. Familiarity with project management practices and methodologies in a construction setting is an asset. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
