Piping Estimator

Piping Estimator MidAtlantic Mechanical located in Millstone Township, New Jersey is currently seeking a seasoned Piping Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce meticulous and comprehensive HVAC piping and/or Process piping estimates for commercial and industrial projects. Utilize proprietary estimating software for accurate takeoffs of piping systems and associated components. Develop competitive bid prices and proposals for projects in the seven-figure range. Proficiently interpret and comprehend project plans, specifications and all other bid documents. Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) as necessary. Actively participate in site walk-throughs and job inspections Prepare thorough bids by developing a comprehensive estimate including equipment, material, labor and subcontractor costs. Review bids from vendors and subcontractors for specified materials and equipment. Uphold quality standards in line with organizational protocols, while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong attention to detail, precision, and focus. Effective interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Demonstrated expertise in documentation practices. In-depth knowledge of Fastpipe software with advanced proficiency. Familiarity with blueprint interpretation. Technical proficiency in HVAC and piping systems. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable environment. Capable of working collaboratively within a team or autonomously. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in the mechanical contracting industry.
