You will review project documents, perform quantity take-offs, and develop detailed labor, material, and equipment cost proposals. Your estimates will help secure projects, support profitability, and maintain strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, and project scopes to understand requirements Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work Request and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals, including overhead and profit Assist with bid submissions, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and job walks to gather project details Coordinate with project management, engineering, and field teams to refine estimates Track historical costs and market trends to improve accuracy Support pricing for change orders and project adjustments as needed Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 10+ years of electrical estimating experience in construction, preferably industrial or utility projects Experience with electrical drawings and take-off software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam) a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating tools Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented #
