Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects and play a key role in shaping successful outcomes from the ground up. Duties Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis to determine accurate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring all estimates align with project scope, budget constraints, and schedule requirements. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to support cost control initiatives and identify potential budget overruns early. Review construction site conditions and management plans to incorporate real-time data into estimates for ongoing projects. Support project management teams by providing accurate cost forecasts, assisting with contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management processes. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential. Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop precise cost estimates. Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers. Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand on-the-ground realities affecting estimates.
