Increased demand from our prestigious client base necessitates increased staffing. Our fast-paced Machine Shop is seeking an entry-level estimator to support our existing quotation team. The ideal candidate will have experience with or ability to learn the following: Reading mechanical drawings Basic understanding of quotes/estimates/purchase orders Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader/Editor Intermediate math skills: add/subtract/divide/multiply read, measure, and convert units in both imperial (USCS) and metric standards calculate and interpret unit costs, taxes, and other PO/Invoice related values File management/organization on a local network, in emails, and with online tools/websites Communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email with vendors, customers, and coworkers The candidate will possess the following attributes: Excellent attention to detail Highly organized Proactive Willing to ask questions Ability to work alone and with teams Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities.
