Candidates must have extensive experience with projects ranging from $500,000 to $40,000,000 and a thorough understanding of all construction disciplines per CSI MasterFormat. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing complete and accurate budgets/estimates/bids for both competitive and negotiated GMP and LS projects, and demonstrate expertise throughout all design phases (Concept, SD, DD, CD). Core Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly review all project documentation to understand scope and requirements.
  • Perform detailed site visits as necessary to develop accurate estimates.
  • Analyze collected data and metrics to inform project cost forecasting.
  • Prepare accurate budgets, schedules, and forecasts for all project phases.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk analyses and document scope inclusions/exclusions.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids to identify and resolve scope gaps.
  • Prepare complete quantity takeoffs and bid leveling reports.
  • Select, measure, and track key project metrics.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key vendors and subcontractors.
  • Supervise estimating support staff as required and lead major estimating efforts.
  • Develop accurate estimate reports with clear inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company estimating standards and process control measures. Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator (Las Vegas market preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of estimating, project management, and field construction practices.
  • Ability to price design-build, design-bid, GMP, and lump-sum projects.
  • Strong self-perform estimating experience in framing, drywall, ACT, and painting trades.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple concurrent estimates.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of plans, specs, and blueprints.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent follow-through and documentation habits.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and goal-oriented mindset. Software Proficiency

  • Skilled in subcontractor scope review and contract negotiation.
  • Capable of producing accurate meeting notes and documentation.
  • Familiarity with client relations and presentation preparation.
