Quigliano II Inc. is a growing excavation and heavy construction contractor serving Western New York. We're looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Project Estimator to support our estimating team in bidding work, tracking project costs, and helping us win the right jobs at the right margins. What You'll Do Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for excavation, site work, and underground utility projects Review project plans, specs, and bid documents to identify scope of work Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and material vendor quotes Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and drawings Support the senior estimator through the full bid cycle — from invitation to submittal Maintain organized bid files, logs, and historical cost data Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors to validate field conditions and productivity rates What We're Looking For 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a related field Familiarity with excavation, site work, utilities, or civil construction preferred Strong math and analytical skills — you sweat the details Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software and proficient with computers Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple bids under deadline Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity for growth within an established local contractor Full-time, year-round position
