Are you interested in construction, mechanical systems, or project-based work — even if you don't come from a direct mechanical background? A growing construction and mechanical services organization in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Entry-Level Estimator to join its team. This full-time position offers a salary range of $55,000-$70,000, depending on experience, and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within estimating and project operations. This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn. The Entry-Level Estimator will work closely with experienced estimators and leadership while learning how to prepare estimates, review project specifications, coordinate with vendors, and support ongoing construction and service projects. The ideal Entry-Level Estimator candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in growing within a collaborative, family-oriented construction/mechanical environment where employees are trusted and supported. This role will split time between the office and occasional site visits/customer meetings, and this is an on-site, in-person position in Buffalo, NY. Responsibilities Assist with preparing project estimates and bid documentation Review project plans, specifications, and scope requirements Support senior estimators with pricing, takeoffs, and vendor coordination Participate in customer meetings and occasional site visits Maintain organized project and bid documentation Assist with gathering subcontractor and supplier pricing information Coordinate with internal operations and project teams Learn estimating software and systems, including AutoBid Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Interest in construction, estimating, project coordination, or mechanical systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and project data Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment Experience with estimating software or AutoBid is a plus, but not required What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Eager to learn and grow within construction estimating Organized and detail-oriented Strong work ethic and willingness to ask questions Comfortable balancing office work with occasional field exposure Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $55,000-$70,000, depending on experience PTO and paid sick time Healthcare benefits Stable, long-standing organization with a family-oriented culture Mentorship and long-term growth opportunities Supportive environment with minimal micromanagement Schedule & Location Full-time position Monday-Friday Typical hours approximately 7:00 AM - 3:30/4:00 PM Primarily in-office with occasional site visits The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting that our client would be willing to pay for this position.
