This role includes reviewing plans, conducting site visits, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing detailed pricing for asphalt paving, sealcoating, excavation, grading, and concrete work. The Estimator works closely with management to ensure that all proposals align with field conditions, production capabilities, and the company's pricing strategy. Responsibilities Review plans, specifications, and bid documents Perform site visits and field measurements (square footage, grading, existing conditions) Complete quantity takeoffs and material calculations Prepare cost estimates for asphalt paving (binder & top course), sealcoating, excavation, and concrete Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs Obtain and coordinate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Build and submit clear, accurate proposals and bids Ensure scopes of work are complete and aligned with actual site conditions Work with management to adjust pricing and maintain target margins Assist with pre-job planning and handoff to operations after award Experience & Requirements Experience in asphalt paving, sitework, or construction estimating Strong understanding of paving processes, materials, and terminology Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Proficient in quantity takeoffs and cost calculations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Valid driver's license (for site visits) Proficiency in Excel (and other estimating software)

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
