Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Residential Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating residential electrical projects, preparing accurate estimates and proposals, and helping homeowners understand the scope and value of recommended electrical services. The ideal candidate has strong residential electrical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to accurately assess project requirements while maintaining exceptional customer service. This position plays a key role in supporting company growth by developing competitive estimates, coordinating project handoffs, and ensuring projects are set up for successful execution. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong technical knowledge of residential electrical systems, and be committed to delivering accurate, professional solutions for our customers. Duties Perform on-site and virtual assessments of residential electrical projects. Prepare detailed estimates and proposals using ServiceTitan, InteliBid, or similar software. Review plans, specifications, and customer requirements to determine project scope and pricing. Provide homeowners with clear explanations of recommended electrical solutions and associated costs. Collaborate with operations, field supervisors, and electricians to ensure accurate project planning. Track estimate conversion rates and follow up on pending proposals. Coordinate project handoff to production teams after contract approval. Maintain current knowledge of NEC requirements and local electrical codes. Assist with change orders and supplemental estimates when project scope changes. Build strong relationships with customers through professional communication and consultative selling. Requirements 3+ years of residential electrical experience. Experience preparing electrical estimates for residential service, remodel, generator, panel upgrade, EV charger, and new construction projects. Proficiency with ServiceTitan, InteliBid, or similar estimating software. Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and NEC requirements. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Sales experience and the ability to present solutions confidently to homeowners is a plus. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
