Job Description

The salary range for Sr Estimator is $191,000- $218,000 depending on experience. WDF Inc ., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Mt Vernon, NY office. About WDF Inc . DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Estimator at WDF Inc., reporting to the Chief Estimator you will have the opportunity to: Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and manhour figures Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contracts Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Provide complete conceptual (or bidwork) and final estimating input on complex projects Provide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids Insure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures Assist contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit; procuring materials, etc. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution 5+ years of relevant estimating and project management experience 10 or more years experience estimating for building projects Previous estimating experience on projects over $100M in value Hands on experience in public projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and/or commercial construction projects Experience working with HCSS Heavy Bid, Blue Beam, MS Excel, SmartBid Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts required Good communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owner's representatives, material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations Capable of effectively working within a cohesive Heavy Civil estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicable Excellent written and verbal skills
