Job Description
We are looking for a thorough Construction estimator to calculate possible costs and gains of construction projects. You will collect and analyze data according to a series of useful variables. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with numbers and analytical. You must have great attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The goal is to provide the company with accurate information that will help in operations and strategic planning. Responsibilities Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents for spec section 08700, 08800 Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding cost of new and current projects. Ensure timely completion of estimates. Understand scope of work to bid. Manage bid pricing from vendors. Prepare cost analysis. Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. Qualifications and Experience experience in construction estimating. Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates. Strong understanding of commercial construction processes. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel. Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
