Job Description

Preconstruction Manager / Chief Estimator Multifamily Construction My client is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager / Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts on multifamily projects ranging from approximately $20M-$50M. This is not a bid-and-chase estimating role. The majority of projects are negotiated work, requiring creativity, collaboration, and the ability to solve problems before construction begins. The right person will work closely with owners, architects, consultants, and operations teams to develop practical solutions that keep projects on budget, on schedule, and aligned with client goals. Responsibilities Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts on multifamily projects Develop conceptual and detailed estimates throughout design Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Evaluate constructability, scheduling impacts, and project risks Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams Support budgeting, procurement strategy, and project planning Qualifications 8+ years of estimating and/or preconstruction experience Multifamily project experience in the $20M-$50M range Strong understanding of construction costs, scheduling, and constructability Creative problem-solving mindset Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients and project teams Why This Opportunity?
