Job Description

The Junior Estimator supports the estimating department by assisting with cost estimates, quote preparation, and project evaluations while learning the company's processes and manufacturing methods. This role is intended for motivated individuals looking to develop a career in manufacturing and estimating. The position requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Hours:
M-F, 40 hours a week Essential Responsibilities Assist with preparing cost estimates for new and recurring manufacturing projects Learn to review blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications. Support material, labor, and machine time calculations for quoting purposes. Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, and production teams to gather project information. Maintain organized quote documentation and estimate records. Learn the company's manufacturing processes, production capabilities, and estimating procedures. Support the estimating department with administrative and technical tasks as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives. Qualifications & Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication skills and willingness to learn. Mechanical aptitude or interest in manufacturing environments preferred. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office programs. Ability to learn blueprint reading and manufacturing terminology. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment. Education & Experience Prior manufacturing or technical experience is helpful but not required. Technical schooling, certifications, or coursework in manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, or related fields is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided for candidates with strong motivation and willingness to learn. Work Environment & Physical Requirements It is primarily an office setting with periodic exposure to the manufacturing environment, including machinery, noise, and temperature variations. Some physical activity includes lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, and occasional bending, stooping, crouching, or reaching. Occasional movement throughout the production facility to collaborate with operations and engineering teams. Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
