Responsibilities Review detailed project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare precise pricing and bid proposals. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather data, and verify project requirements for accurate estimation. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate costs, scope of work, and contractual terms. Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets, tracking changes, and adjusting estimates as needed. Assist in the preparation of bids by analyzing labor, material costs, equipment needs, and schedules to ensure competitive pricing. Support contract negotiations and review contractual documents to align with project goals and legal standards. Contribute to project management efforts by coordinating with construction teams to ensure estimates align with on-site realities and timelines. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site conditions. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, cost control techniques, and pricing strategies. Hands-on experience working on construction sites or within a construction management environment is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with project management practices including scheduling, scope management, and risk assessment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
