Your expertise will help drive project success from initial bidding through to project completion, supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional construction solutions. Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for structural steel projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project documents. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop comprehensive cost proposals. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review project scope, negotiate pricing, and refine estimates to meet budget goals. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights, assess site conditions, and verify project requirements. Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets, tracking changes, and adjusting estimates accordingly. Assist in the preparation of contracts and scope of work documents to ensure clarity and alignment with client expectations. Support project management teams by providing accurate estimations that facilitate scheduling, resource allocation, and overall project planning. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential for accurate bid development. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Solid understanding of construction processes, including site management, safety protocols, and contract administration. Experience with cost control techniques to manage budgets effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Knowledge of pricing strategies specific to heavy steel fabrication and erection projects within the construction industry. Construction site experience that provides practical insights into on-the-ground challenges and logistics. Familiarity with construction management principles, including scheduling, resource planning, and contract management.
