Overview Join our dynamic team as an Estimator and play a pivotal role in driving the success of our construction projects. In this energetic and detail-oriented position, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and seamless project execution from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful construction projects while honing your skills in estimation, negotiation, and project management. Duties Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using tools like HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing information and negotiate favorable terms. Prepare detailed cost proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure competitive yet profitable bids. Review construction contracts and scope of work to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Assist in project planning by providing accurate cost forecasts and supporting project management teams in budget tracking and cost control efforts. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights that influence estimating accuracy and project planning. Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid submissions, contracts, and related documentation for transparency and future reference. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology. Proficiency with estimation software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly preferred. Solid knowledge of construction site operations, project management principles, and contract negotiations. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with vendors and subcontractors. Strong attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
