When responsibility calls, you're ready to lead. These are the qualifications that matter. 3+ years of hands-on experience preparing HVAC estimates for commercial construction projects. Background working on design-build projects and integrated project delivery environments is preferred. Solid understanding of commercial HVAC systems, construction methods, and applicable codes. Experience using HVAC estimating software along with Microsoft Office applications. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scope documentation. Familiarity with CAD and Revit platforms is advantageous. Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills for engaging with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Why This Job? This is a direct-hire position! Responsibilities Examine project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare precise HVAC cost projections. Complete detailed quantity take-offs and calculate labor, material, and equipment requirements. Review and compare pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and completeness. Establish and maintain productive working relationships with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing. Interpret construction documents to define project scope and identify potential risks or discrepancies. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to confirm that estimates align with project scope, schedule, and budget expectations. Apply current local and national HVAC codes and standards to ensure all estimates meet compliance requirements. Participate in preconstruction meetings and conduct site visits as necessary to evaluate conditions and collect project information. Deliver thorough, well-documented HVAC estimates covering labor, materials, and equipment in a timely manner.
