Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with clients and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and successful project delivery. Your expertise will help us secure new business opportunities while maintaining rigorous cost control standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale commercial construction projects, utilizing your skills in estimation, negotiation, and project management to make a tangible impact. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects. Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information, assess site conditions, and verify project scope. Collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate prices and secure competitive bids. Prepare and analyze bid packages, ensuring accuracy in pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets and adjusting estimates as needed. Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual terms related to project scope, costs, and timelines. Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates that align with project schedules and objectives. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and contract administration. Proficiency with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup; experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in negotiation with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favorable terms. Solid understanding of cost control techniques and pricing strategies in construction projects. Hands-on construction site experience is advantageous for accurate assessment of project needs. Familiarity with construction management principles and contract types used in the industry.
