In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating project plans, preparing accurate estimates, and collaborating with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered within budget. Your expertise will help optimize construction processes, control costs, and support effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Develop detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents using tools like HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Collaborate with project teams to review design plans, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and refine pricing strategies. Conduct thorough site visits to gather on-the-ground data, assess construction conditions, and validate estimate assumptions based on real-world conditions. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overheads. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive rates while maintaining quality standards. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures when necessary. Assist in contract administration by reviewing terms, managing change orders, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Support project management teams by providing accurate cost forecasts and contributing to scheduling decisions based on financial insights. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site conditions. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent tools; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices. Hands-on experience working on construction sites or in a construction management environment is preferred. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis and budgeting. Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
