The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, with insurance industry experience preferred.. This position requires strong analytical skills, site inspections capabilities and proficiency in estimating software. It involves preparing detailed estimates, reviewing project scopes and working with clients and insurance adjusters..Also, applicant has to be able to work from home office located in El Centro, CA 92243 and available to travel to Riverside County and Yuma Az.. Duties Develop detailed construction and restoration estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as Xactimate, MICA and blueprint reading.. Collaborate closely with project managers, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, team members and clients to negotiate terms, scope, and pricing strategies that align with project goals. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of construction estimating are transparent and comprehensive. Monitor project budgets during construction phases to support cost control initiatives and identify potential overruns early. Review and interpret contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to maintain accurate cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct on-site inspections to assess project scope and damages. Ensure estimates meet company standards and industry guidelines Track and follow up on submitted estimates Skills Proficiency in construction estimating software such as ; experience with Xactimate,MICA and blueprint reading is highly valued. (REQUIRED) Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms while maintaining professional relationships. Insurance industry experience preferred Valid Drivers license (REQUIRED)-Job site inspections are part of this position Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documents English Proficiency (REQUIRED) Strong organizational and communication skills Knowledge of contracts, change management processes, and legal considerations related to construction projects.
