As a key player in our project development process, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure projects are financially viable and aligned with client expectations. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality construction solutions efficiently and within budget, fueling our growth and reputation in the industry. Duties Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as Job Tread. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, schedule, and technical requirements. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights, assess conditions, and refine cost estimates based on real-world observations. Prepare detailed pricing proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and overhead costs. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process to ensure accuracy and competitiveness; implement cost control measures as needed. Assist in contract review and management by understanding contractual obligations and ensuring estimates align with contractual terms. Support project management teams during construction by providing cost analysis, change order evaluations, and risk assessments to keep projects on track financially. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Proficiency in estimating software such Job Tread highly desirable. Solid knowledge of construction site operations, materials pricing, labor rates, and subcontractor negotiations. Familiarity with contract types, project management processes, and cost control techniques. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors. Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail for accurate cost assessments. Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present clear estimates to stakeholders. Construction site experience is preferred to better understand field conditions influencing estimates.
