Hoover, AL Job Details Full-time $54,153.43 - $100,000.00 a year 12 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Drywall Procurement Digital quantity takeoff Construction Full Job Description Commercial Drywall & Painting Estimator Rodriguez Construction Services is a growing commercial drywall and painting contractor specializing in new construction projects including multifamily apartment complexes, hotels, senior living/retirement communities, and student housing projects. We are looking for an experienced estimator to join our team and help support our growing workload and upcoming projects. This role involves much more than takeoffs — we are looking for someone who can help manage the full estimating and preconstruction process including pricing, procurement, buyout support, and communication with General Contractors and suppliers. Responsibilities Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, insulation, ACT ceilings, and painting scopes Solicit and level vendor and subcontractor pricing Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and project risks Assist with procurement and buyout after project award Communicate with General Contractor project managers and superintendents during bidding and preconstruction Coordinate with internal project management and field teams Manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Qualifications Commercial drywall estimating experience preferred Experience with multifamily, hospitality, senior living, or large commercial projects preferred Knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, ACT ceilings, insulation, and painting scopes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with estimating/takeoff software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, OST, QuickBid, or similar Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity for growth within a growing company Team-oriented work environment Consistent pipeline of commercial projects
