Are you detail-oriented with a passion for analyzing project costs and turning building plans into accurate estimates? We are seeking an Estimator to join our team and play a key role in preparing competitive and accurate project quotes. The Estimator is responsible for analyzing project specifications, architectural drawings, and cost data to develop accurate estimates for materials and labor. This role works closely with the Sales and Pricing teams to ensure quotes are thorough, competitive, and delivered on time. Using design software, vendor quotes, and proprietary estimating tools, the Estimator helps ensure projects are properly scoped and priced to support successful project execution. Analyze architectural drawings, project specifications, and job scopes to prepare accurate project estimates. Use estimating software, vendor quotes, and internal tools to determine material and labor costs. Collaborate closely with Sales and Pricing teams to provide accurate and timely project quotes. Review and update job scopes to ensure all project components are properly captured in the estimate. Utilize MBS software to assist in determining building material costs. Evaluate costs associated with engineering, detailing, and erection of metal building systems. Communicate with multiple internal departments to ensure project scopes are accurate and comprehensive. Maintain organized documentation of estimates and project cost information. Identify potential cost risks or scope gaps and communicate them to the appropriate teams. Skills and Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to review complex project documents. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common office software. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.Preferred Experience:
Previous metal building estimating experience. Experience in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) industry. Experience with MBS estimating software. Education or experience in detailing or drafting. Undergraduate education in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
