Job Description

Construction Estimator A growing commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support a diverse portfolio of federal, state, municipal, school, and commercial projects throughout New York State. This is a highly visible role with strong long-term growth potential, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work on meaningful projects ranging from renovations to ground-up construction. This position is primarily onsite and field-based, with hybrid flexibility available after onboarding and establishing yourself in the role.
What You'll Be Doing:
Reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents for commercial and government projects Preparing detailed labor, material, and equipment estimates Developing competitive bids for design-build and plan/spec work Writing scopes of work for subcontractors and vendors Soliciting and leveling subcontractor and supplier pricing Collaborating with internal teams on preconstruction strategy and value engineering Interpreting drawings and identifying constructability and cost-saving opportunities
Required Skills:
5+ years of estimating experience in commercial and/or government construction Design-build experience Strong understanding of all construction divisions Ability to independently build labor and material estimates Experience writing scopes of work and leveling bids Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Preferred Skills:
Engineering background Federal/public project experience Practical, hands-on construction knowledge Software Experience•

Base Salary:
$90,000
  • 120,000 Annual bonus potential based on company performance Flexible hours: 8:00 AM
