Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of construction projects. This role combines the analytical skills of a seasoned estimator with the leadership qualities of a proactive project manager. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing project timelines, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about construction and eager to drive successful project outcomes through strategic estimation and effective management. This is a commission based only employment type. Duties Prepare detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as Quickbooks, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantity takeoffs. Develop comprehensive project budgets, schedules, and resource plans to guide project execution from inception to completion. Review project plans, specifications, and contracts thoroughly to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships. Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines. Monitor project costs continuously through cost control techniques; adjust estimates as needed based on scope changes or unforeseen conditions. Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract administration for seamless project delivery. Skills Proficiency in Quickbooks for digital document management and markup review. Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Experience with Quickbooks or similar estimating software for accurate cost analysis. Deep understanding of construction estimating principles and methodologies. Hands-on construction site experience to effectively interpret plans and manage field operations. Expertise in cost control strategies to keep projects within budget constraints. Knowledge of construction management practices, including scheduling, safety protocols, and quality assurance. Familiarity with contracts, legal considerations, and project documentation requirements. Proven ability in project management to lead teams, coordinate resources, and meet deadlines efficiently.
