In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, preparing bids, and collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality glass and glazing solutions that meet client specifications, budget expectations, and project timelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative construction projects while honing your skills in estimation, negotiation, and project management. Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for glass and glazing projects by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and project plans. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop comprehensive cost proposals. Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing, scope of work, and contract terms. Analyze project requirements to determine material quantities, labor costs, equipment needs, and potential risks. Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure estimates align with project schedules and budgets. Assist in the review and development of construction contracts, change orders, and scope adjustments. Monitor project progress on-site to ensure cost control measures are maintained throughout the construction process. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within the glass and glazing industry or related fields. Strong knowledge of construction processes, site safety protocols, and project management principles. Proficiency in Bluebeam PDF software, HeavyBid estimating software, and other relevant digital tools. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors. Familiarity with contracts, cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and construction site operations. Construction site experience is highly preferred to understand on-the-ground realities impacting estimates. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
