In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of accurate commercial and residential construction takeoffs and detailed estimates for a variety of projects, ensuring precise cost analysis and competitive pricing. Your expertise will drive project profitability, facilitate effective negotiations, and support seamless project management from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence project success through expert estimation and strategic cost control, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Lead the preparation of comprehensive construction takeoffs using advanced digital tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Develop detailed cost estimates for projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and site conditions, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate contracts, pricing terms, and scope adjustments that align with project budgets and objectives. Utilize construction estimating best practices to establish reliable budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety. Monitor ongoing project costs through effective cost control measures, updating estimates as project details evolve. Review construction contracts to ensure compliance with scope, budget, and schedule requirements; advise on contractual risks or modifications. Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates that facilitate planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Skills Proficiency in Planswift, Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review and markup processes. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms and pricing agreements. Experience with HeavyBid or similar tools estimating software for detailed bid development. Deep understanding of construction estimating principles across various project types. Knowledge of construction site operations and field conditions impacting cost estimation. Expertise in cost control techniques to manage budgets effectively throughout project lifecycle. Familiarity with construction management practices, including scheduling and resource coordination. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including contractors, clients, and internal teams.
