We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Plumbing Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in construction, plumbing, and project management. About Us At Scott McLeod Plumbing, we specialize in residential, commercial, and utility plumbing projects throughout Southern California. We are committed to quality workmanship, customer service, and investing in our employees' growth and success. Position Summary The Plumbing Estimator will assist in reviewing plans, preparing project estimates, obtaining pricing from vendors and subcontractors, and supporting our estimating and project management teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with numbers, and learning the construction industry. Responsibilities Review construction drawings and specifications Perform quantity takeoffs and material counts Assist in preparing project estimates and bid proposals Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Track bid opportunities and project deadlines Maintain organized project files and documentation Work closely with estimators, project managers, and field personnel Learn plumbing systems, materials, labor production, and construction processes Support additional estimating and project-related tasks as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read construction plans is a plus but not required Plumbing, construction, trade school, or field experience is a plus but not required Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Ongoing training and professional development Stable, long-term employment with a growing company As our company continues to grow, we are committed to promoting from within whenever possible.
