Restoration Estimator (Mitigation)

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Restoration Estimator specialized in mitigation to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing damage, preparing detailed estimates, and coordinating restoration projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective mitigation services. Your expertise will help clients recover swiftly from property damage caused by water, fire, mold, or storm events. Responsibilities Conduct thorough on-site inspections to evaluate damage caused by water, fire, mold, or storm-related incidents. Prepare comprehensive restoration estimates using industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid software, ensuring accuracy in pricing and scope of work. Collaborate with clients, insurance adjusters, contractors, and project teams to negotiate scope changes and resolve discrepancies effectively. Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, and timelines that align with client needs and company standards. Manage cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to maintain profitability while delivering quality results. Review construction contracts and work closely with construction management teams to ensure adherence to project specifications. Utilize construction estimating expertise to evaluate bids, analyze pricing strategies, and optimize project costs. Monitor project progress on-site to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and contractual obligations. Maintain accurate records of estimates, change orders, and project documentation for transparency and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of mitigation or restoration projects. Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup; experience with HeavyBid is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices. Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate effective communication between clients, vendors, and insurance companies. Hands-on construction site experience to accurately assess scope and costs on the ground. Strong grasp of cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the restoration industry. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and quality assurance processes. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications clearly and accurately.
