The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Construction Estimator to take full ownership of our bid process and help us pursue and win projects ranging from $500K to $25M+. Reporting directly to the Director of Estimating, you'll be a key driver of our preconstruction success — leading estimates from concept through final submission, and playing a hands-on role in shaping how we grow. What You'll Do Lead and manage the complete estimating process from concept through final bid submission Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to develop comprehensive electrical estimates Perform material and labor take-offs, prepare quantity surveys, and determine manpower requirements Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes and ensure proper scope coverage Prepare budgets, conceptual estimates, and value engineering options for various project types Identify risk items and develop strategies to mitigate potential cost or schedule impacts Work closely with project management, purchasing, and field operations during preconstruction and project handoff Attend job walks and client meetings as required Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost data Assist with scope reviews, bid breakdowns, bid leveling, and proposal preparation Participate in bid strategy meetings and client presentations as needed Mentor junior estimators and contribute to best practice improvements within the estimating team What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent work experience Minimum 8-10 years of estimating experience in the electrical subcontracting industry Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC code, and construction practices Proven track record estimating commercial and industrial electrical projects across a range of project sizes Experience with both hard-bid and design-build/design-assist project delivery methods Proficient in estimating and takeoff software including Accubid, EBM, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Excellent time management with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines Effective verbal and written communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Work Location Hybrid — Based out of our Anaheim, CA office, with flexibility for remote work.
