This role is responsible for preparing competitive estimates, managing awarded projects, coordinating field operations, and ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental demolition, asbestos and lead abatement, heavy civil construction, or specialty contracting, with strong estimating, project management, and client coordination skills. Responsibilities Estimating & Preconstruction Review bid documents, drawings, specifications, and environmental surveys Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for demolition, abatement, disposal, and support activities Prepare complete and accurate cost estimates including: Labor Equipment Materials Subcontractors Permits Testing Waste transportation and disposal Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Assess project risks, site constraints, and regulatory impacts Develop bid proposals, scope clarifications, and exclusions Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs Participate in value engineering and alternative means/methods discussions Lead project turnover from estimating to operations Project Management Manage projects from contract award through final closeout Develop project schedules, budgets, work plans, and manpower forecasts Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and suppliers Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations Oversee asbestos, lead, and hazardous material abatement operations Monitor job costs, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and project performance Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Conduct project meetings with owners, engineers, regulators, and inspectors Maintain project records including: Daily reports Waste manifests Air monitoring documentation Closeout packages Resolve field issues and negotiate scope changes as needed Qualifications 5+ years of combined estimating and project management experience Experience in one or more of the following: Environmental demolition Hazardous materials abatement Heavy civil construction Specialty contracting Strong knowledge of: Asbestos and lead abatement regulations Waste profiling, transportation, and disposal Demolition means and methods Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and environmental reports Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders Proficiency with: Bluebeam Microsoft Excel HCSS Procore Microsoft Project Experience with Sage 100 Contractor and E-Takeoff preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Asbestos Supervisor and/or Project Designer certification preferred Lead Supervisor or EPA environmental certifications preferred Experience with public sector, institutional, or industrial projects preferred Field experience in demolition or abatement operations is a plus Strong communication, organizational, and team coordination skills Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-sponsored retirement plan with company match Paid vacation, sick time, and personal time Paid holidays Compensation Salary up to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
