This role analyzes project documents, performs detailed quantity takeoffs, and prepares comprehensive cost estimates for competitive bid proposals on commercial construction projects. The Estimator ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of bids while building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Schedule Full-time. Compensation $80,000 - $100,000 Per Year What You'll Do You will review project plans, drawings, and specifications to confirm complete and coordinated scopes of work, and identify and evaluate risk factors while developing strategies to mitigate them during bidding. You will manage and respond to invitations to bid, coordinate proposal submissions, and perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for assigned trades. Working with managers, you will support conceptual budgets and preliminary pricing efforts, develop bid tab sheets, gather and analyze subcontractor proposals, and prepare bid tabulations. You will author trade-specific qualifications and exclusions for bid packages, maintain and grow subcontractor and supplier relationships, and participate in industry networking events to expand the subcontractor database and market knowledge. You will also coordinate the smooth turnover of awarded projects to the project management team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) 5 or more years of estimating experience in commercial construction Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and other estimating software Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications Experience estimating high-profile or large-scale commercial projects Familiarity with preconstruction and conceptual budgeting Experience managing the bid-to-award turnover process Established subcontractor and supplier network in the South Carolina market Compensation and Benefits 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for the employee 401(k) with company match Collaborative work environment with modern office space and current technology Paid time off To apply, submit your resume through the application link.
