Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates and managing electrical construction projects from bid through completion. This position plays a critical role in ensuring profitable project execution and successful bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities Estimation Phase:
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings Perform detailed material and labor take-offs (gear, conduit, cable, switches, etc.) Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals Identify risks, scope gaps, and potential cost challenges
Project Management Phase:
Procure materials and coordinate delivery schedules Collaborate with field teams to ensure projects stay on budget and schedule Manage change orders and scope adjustments Track project costs, billing, and labor productivity Qualifications 3+ years of experience in electrical project management, estimating, or similar role Strong knowledge of electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage) Solid understanding of NEC (NFPA 70) and
NFPA 70E
standards Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam or similar) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred 3-5+ years of electrical construction experience Journeyman or Master Electrician license/certification (a plus) Key Skills Cost estimation & budgeting Vendor negotiation Code compliance & technical knowledge Problem-solving and risk assessment Client and team communication Working Conditions Combination of office work and local job site visits Fast-paced environment with strict bid deadlines Performance Metrics Estimate accuracy vs. actual job costs Bid success rate and profitability Timely and complete bid submissions
