Sr. Electrical Estimator

About the RoleA national leading electrical subcontractor is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator with strong experience in data center and/or industrial electrical projects. The ideal candidate is an expert in Accubid Anywhere estimating software and has a proven track record developing accurate, competitive bids for large, complex electrical scopes.

This role plays a critical part in the company's growth strategy by leading estimate development, coordinating with operations and preconstruction teams, and ensuring high-quality, timely bid submissions for major projects nationwide.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating and PreconstructionLead the preparation of detailed electrical estimates for data center, industrial, and mission-critical projects.

Perform quantity takeoffs, material and labor pricing, and subcontractor/vendor solicitation.

Develop conceptual, budgetary, and final estimates based on project requirements and design documents.

Utilize Accubid Anywhere to produce accurate, organized, and complete estimates.

Analyze drawings, specifications, and RFP documents to determine project scope and requirements.

Project and Team CoordinationCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and field leadership to validate constructability and project approach.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client discussions.

Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain competitive vendor and subcontractor pricing.

Support handoff meetings to ensure seamless transition from estimating to operations.

Strategy and Risk ManagementIdentify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.

Develop bid strategies and competitive pricing models aligned with company goals.

Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases as needed.

Leadership and MentorshipProvide guidance and support to junior estimators and preconstruction staff.

Help refine estimating processes, templates, and best practices.

Required QualificationsMinimum 7 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction.

Proven experience estimating data center and/or industrial electrical projects.

Advanced proficiency with Accubid Anywhere estimating software.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC requirements, and construction means and methods.

Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
