Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and oral). Working experience with construction project bid documents. Solid time-management, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Experience providing engineering cost-effective solutions to complex commercial-level construction problems. Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations

Project Estimator's Responsibilities Will Include:

Study and understand scopes of work for sophisticated commercial-level building systems and controls. Verify compliance with bid instructions throughout the bid process, obtaining all necessary documentation and submitting a complete bid packet on time. Perform quantity take-offs for self-performed work. Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to confirm the scope of work and materials quoted to meet the bid documents and project requirements. Prepare contract startup templates, permits, subcontracts, and PO's. Generate a master schedule for projects with input from the VP of Operations and Project Superintendent(s). Review and approve subcontractor invoices monthly and prepare owner invoices based on work completed to date. Manage projects to completion while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule.

Project Estimator's Qualifications:

An Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), Building Construction, or Architecture Degree Estimating, take-off, scheduling, and contracting experience

REQUIRED

2 years or more of commercial construction experience in an estimator, project manager, or field superintendent role
