This role grants you direct access to executive ownership for continuous support while managing vital regional and national vendor partnerships. You will have the autonomy to shape competitive bid strategies within an established corporation that maintains a supportive, close-knit small business culture. How You Will Make an Impact Analyze complex project drawings and technical specifications to build comprehensive, highly accurate cost estimates. Develop detailed material quantity take-offs, comprehensive labor breakdowns, and exact equipment pricing matrices. Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate competitive subcontractor bids to secure full scope coverage at optimal price points. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and engineers to align pre-construction budgets with structural timelines. Track historical cost data and utilize market condition analytics to maximize long-term estimating efficiency. Identify hidden pre-construction liabilities, municipal permit fees, and utility utility expenses prior to bid submission. Target future business pipelines by establishing direct relationships with developers and owners during early planning phases. Required Qualifications & Experience 3+ years of dedicated estimating experience specifically within the commercial construction sector. Proven proficiency in interpreting blueprints, industrial drawings, architectural specifications, and contract documents. Demonstrated capability to communicate technical project scopes to subcontractors, suppliers, and external design teams. Strong mathematical, analytical, and risk-management skills paired with precise attention to project details. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a highly related technical field. Prior experience estimating for federal, government, or specialized industrial infrastructure projects. Advanced proficiency in utilizing digital takeoff software and modern construction estimating platforms.
