Job Description

Responsibilities The Senior Project Cost Engineer will collaborate with executives, conduct internal audits and reviews of project budgets and status reports, and provide cost‑management support across a portfolio of construction projects. Generate monthly profit forecasts and performance dashboards for senior management based on ongoing project analysis. Monitor and maintain budgets and job status reports on a recurring monthly schedule. Mentor junior cost engineers and provide guidance and support to team members as needed. Lead regular job status meetings with stakeholders and project teams to review financial and operational progress. Deliver training to office and field personnel on the use of project management software tools. Prepare and compile various monthly financial reports for executive leadership review. Analyze project cost data to identify risks, cost‑saving opportunities, and implement effective mitigation strategies. Contribute to the preparation of new construction project proposals for evaluation and approval. Support project executives with cost tracking, forecasting, subcontractor management, and change order administration. Offer cost‑related insights and strategic recommendations to project teams and executive leadership. Audit and reconcile project performance using project management software to ensure accuracy and compliance. Continuously enhance and promote cost‑control best practices across the organization.
