Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing vendor bids, and ensuring that proposals are submitted on time and in a professional manner. This role requires strong analytical skills, organizational skills, proficiency in construction management software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and clients. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings and specifications. Utilize your preferred Construction Estimating software package to analyze project requirements, solicit quotes, and generate accurate pricing. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and schedules for construction projects. Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication throughout the estimating process. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to provide informed estimates. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with cost control methods and project management techniques. Proficiency in using estimating and bid management software is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. A background in construction management or engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
