Estimator/Project Manager/Sales Capital City Flooring Austin Austin, TX Job Details Full-time $18 - $25 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Teamwork English Driver's License Attention to detail Computer skills Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and quick-learning Assistant Flooring Project Coordinator to work directly alongside our lead estimator/project manager, Lead Estimator. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, learning quickly, and helping manage flooring and remodeling projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, technology-savvy, patient with clients and subcontractors, and eager to learn all aspects of the flooring and construction industry. If you have recently graduated, and in search of a hands on learning and training position, this position would be ideal for you. Responsibilities Client Communication & Support Communicate with clients professionally through phone, email, text, and in person Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-ups Attend client meetings and walkthroughs with Lead Estimator Help explain flooring products, installation processes, and project timelines Maintain positive client relationships throughout the project Measuring & Estimating Assistance Learn how to measure flooring areas accurately Assist with documenting field measurements and jobsite conditions Help identify flooring materials and installation requirements Learn how to source materials and compare vendor pricing Assist with matching discontinued flooring products and trim pieces Proposal & Administrative Support Help create project proposals and estimatesProject Coordination Monitor active jobsites alongside Lead Estimator Communicate scope of work clearly with subcontractors Assist with problem-solving during installations Help ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality expectations Support jobsite organization and customer satisfaction Technology & AI Integration Learn and efficiently use AI software tools such as: ChatGPT Claude Manus CRM systems Estimating and project management software Assist with improving company systems and workflow efficiency Use technology to help streamline communication, organization, and estimating Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Quick learner with strong attention to detail Organized and dependable Comfortable working both in the office and in the field Professional appearance and attitude Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Basic computer proficiency required Interest in construction, flooring, remodeling, design, or project management preferred Experience with CRM software, AI tools, or estimating software is a plus but not required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Enter and organize project information within CRM software Track materials, pricing, and vendor communication Assist with scheduling installers and coordinating logistics Help maintain accurate project documentation and notes Ideal Candidate Traits Patient and professional with clients and subcontractors Problem solver with strong critical thinking skills Self-motivated and proactive Negotiation and customer service mindset Comfortable learning new technology quickly Adaptable and team-oriented Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus Compensation Competitive hourly pay or salary based on experience Flexible schedule potential for students or interns Hands-on training in flooring sales, estimating, and project management
