Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Landscape Estimato r to join our residential landscaping team in Irving, Texas. This role is responsible for preparing accurate estimates, takeoffs, and proposals for residential landscape maintenance, enhancements, and installation projects. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of residential landscaping practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate site conditions and client needs into clear, profitable project estimates. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and bids for residential landscape maintenance and installation projects Conduct on-site property visits to evaluate scope of work and site conditions Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs for landscape projects Review landscape plans, specifications, and client requests to develop pricing strategies Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate cost assumptions Identify opportunities for enhancements and additional services Maintain consistency and accuracy in pricing and estimating standards Follow up on submitted proposals and assist in closing sales when needed Maintain records of estimates, pricing data, and project history Support project handoff to production teams once jobs are awarded Stay updated on material costs, labor rates, and industry pricing trends Ensure all estimates align with company profitability goals Qualifications 3+ years of experience in landscape estimating, residential landscaping, or related construction field Strong knowledge of residential landscape maintenance, irrigation, plant material, and installation practices Experience with takeoffs, blueprint reading, and project costing Strong analytical, math, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously Strong communication and teamwork skills Proficiency with estimating or CRM software preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Must have Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred Must be eligible to work in the United States Required Skills Landscape Estimating Cost Analysis & Budgeting Takeoffs & Measurements Residential Landscaping Knowledge Proposal Development Blueprint/Plan Reading Attention to Detail Time Management Communication Skills Pricing Strategy Preferred Education High school diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Landscape Management, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred The Perks 401K with company match Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance Paid-Time Off Holiday Pay Recognition programs and performance bonuses Continuing education and industry involvement opportunities At Colleague, we provide a fair and equal employment opportunity for all candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, marital status, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.
